Apology from Wavves for On-Stage Meltdown
Wavves front man Nathan Williams apologized on his blog, Ghost Ramp, for the disaster on Thursday night at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona. The blog post stated the following. I think in the back of my head I knew I wasn't exactly mentally healthy enough to continue to tour the way I have been since February. Honest truth is this has all happened so fast and I feel like the weight of it has been building for months now with what seems like a never ending touring and press schedule which includes absolutely zero time to myself. I'm sorry to everyone who has put effort into this and to everyone who supported me. Mixing ecstasy valium and xanax before having to play in front of thousands of people was one of the more poor decisions I've made(duh) and I realize my drinking has been a problem now for a good period of time. Nothing else I can do but apologize to everyone that has been affected by my poor decision making. I made a mistake. Not the first mistake I've made and it for sure wont be the last. I'm human. Don't know why I chose the biggest platform I could imagine to lose my shit, but that's life. You live and you learn. The band canceled their next stop in Lisbon. They have also canceled a Monday show in Porto, Portugal.

The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien Primieres with Excellent Musical Line-Up
Starting tomorrow, Conan O'Brien takes over for Jay Leno as the new host of The Tonight Show on NBC. While I've always been a fan of Conan's ridiculous, immature humor, he will also be featuring an excellent line-up of musical guests during his first week - including Pearl Jam, Green Day, Sheryl Crow, John Mayer Trio, and Chickenfoot. The complete guest list for the first week is below. Monday, June 1: The first episode of "The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien" with guests Will Ferrell and musical guest Pearl Jam
Tuesday, June 2: Tom Hanks and musical guest Green
Wednesday, June 3: Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bradley Cooper and musical guest Sheryl Crow
Thursday, June 4: Gwyneth Paltrow and musical guest John Mayer Trio
Friday, June 5: Ryan Seacrest and musical guest Chickenfoot Videos will be posted following each performance.

Coming Soon: Photos from Coldplay in Pittsburgh
Coldplay, known for their premier live performances, did not disappoint fans in Pittsburgh, PA.  In addition to the extravagent lights, balloons, confetti, and excellent music, Coldplay also brings an intimacy to its performances - even for an audience of thousands.  Never have I seen a band change locations more during a show at the Post-Gazette Pavilion, moving from center stage to side stage to the lawn for 3 brief songs. Paying only $35 for lawn seats, myself and my somewhat if not overly intoxicated entourage were able to enjoy a "front row experience" for no less than 10 minutes.   Well done, Coldplay.

As an added bonus, they hand out their live recorded album "Left Right Left Right Left" at the end of each show.  If you were not lucky enough to actually see them live, you can still download the album for free from their website here. It's as close to the real thing as you can get, especially considering that the track list on the album closely resembles, if not exactly, the set list for the show.

Photos coming shortly.

Wavves Plays a Game of Dodgebottles in Barcelona
According to Pitchfork, Wavves self-destructed last night on stage at the Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, Spain. The following is a brief except from this article. At 3:00 a.m. sharp, having dodged their share of bottles and even a shoe (neither Nathan nor Ryan was hit, although Nathan likely made impact with some unlucky attendee upon forcefully returning the latter object back to the crowd), the show mercifully came to a screeching halt: Ryan ran offstage, throwing his drumsticks at Nathan. Infuriated, Nathan screamed into the mic, "Come back here, motherfucker, we're not done yet!" Immediately, stage crew appeared, breaking down Ryan's kit. "Fuck!" Nathan shouted, "Stop doing that!" They didn't, so Nathan decided the show must go on. Helplessly, he strummed his guitar again, clearly intent on playing another song. But as he stepped back to the mic, he realized it had been cut. As the crowd booed, the house lights came up, and a defeated Nathan Williams threw his hands up and left, along with the few remaining attendees. Wavves then canceled the first show following the performance. While the venue is claiming that the vocalist is experiencing health issues, Pitchfork is reporting that the band missed their flight from Barcelona to Lisbon.
